Cotton is a wonderful material for towels as they are very absorbent. They are also not made from any petrochemicals so they are good on the skin and being of a natural source, cotton towels are environmental friendly too. The best thing about cotton towels is that they are very soft, thus they are preferred and loved by most people.

The process of making cotton towels starts from the fields where huge machinery collects the flowering part of the cotton plant. These plants are usually grown on huge plantations in the Southwest USA, Uzbekistan, the People’s Republic of China and India. Other leading cotton-growing countries includes Brazil, Pakistan and Turkey. The cotton is separated from the stems of the plant and bundled into huge 400lb bales. Then the seeds are separated by machines inside a building. Afterwards the cotton is fed into huge spinneret machines that make threads of different textures and quality. Once the cotton is made into thread it can be sewn to make any number of different items from clothes to towels to back packs, bed sheets, denim, etc.
